Clean & Pure

An excellent choice for a first encounter with sake. Shirataki’s signature label features a flowery aroma and soft flavor with the feel of pure white snow. Soft water and quality rice - the blessings of nature give birth to this sake as clear as water.

Lovely light fresh melon flavours - delightful cold with food

This is a really lovely, delicate sake—light and semi-dry. Melon is the main flavour, but it isn't at all overpowering. It is an excellent value sake, and I will definitely be purchasing it again.

One of the best

YUZAWA, NIIGATA

Shirataki Shuzo

In 1855, Minatoya Tosuke founded the brewery at Echigo Yuzawa in Niigata prefecture. Echigo Yuzawa is famous for heavy snowfall and hot springs. When the snow melts, it becomes a waterfall, and high quality clean water gushes from the well in the brewery facility throughout the year.

Japanese sake is 80% water, and the spring water plays an essential role in brewing. Shirataki sake has complex aromas, and is delicate, smooth and soft on the palate.

Their wish is to share Echigo-Yuzawa's tranquility with all people and the lives they lead. Through production of fine premium sake, they seek to reflect the voice of our community in humble efforts to nurture and spread knowledge of the sake culture.
