It is a small boutique sake brewery led by Shoichiro Morishima(6th generation).
Adopting the latest equipment, traditional methods and honed sensitivity, Morishima brewery merges the old and new in crafting its sake.
A sake to enjoy during meals, it is made from Omachi sake rice with a polishing rate of 50%.
The flavor is well refined and has received numerous awards in Japan as well as internationally.

MORISHIMA SHUZO

茨城県日立市北部の海岸･港町である川尻町に立地し、太平洋までは裏門からなんと70歩(直線距離で30ｍ程)。2ｍも掘ると砂地が現れますが、更に掘り進めますと、阿武隈山地南端の山々からの、日本酒に最適な伏流水にぶつかります。この適度な鉱物質を含む硬質な天然水を、敷地内よりくみ上げ、ていねいにそしてじっくりと仕込まれた銘酒が「富士大観」であります。浜風の香る風土の中、年間を通して著しい気温の変化は少なく製造・貯蔵には大変適しています。「こんな海近くにある造り酒屋は、全国的にも大変珍しいだろう」という当地で、明治2年(1869年)に創業致しました。
